What you see is what you get



With the popularity of book and dvd The Secret, people are becoming more in tune with the fact that we can attract what we want. This does not mean that you only attract material things, or even that you can attract everything you want with no effort - that is misguided thinking. However, what we look at internally or externally affects what we continue to see in our reality.

Nobody knows this more than advertisers. Corporations are concerned with one thing - if you guessed money, you're right - and they certainly don't waste money in trying to generate more income. So why do they spend so much money on advertisements that you will only see for a matter of seconds? Because they know that what the brain sees impacts a person's choices. They pay top dollar to have access to a space that your eyes will see for this purpose.

Take a look around your home. What have you been looking at day after day, week after week, month after month - and year after year? What kind of reality are you advertising to yourself? Are you selling yourself short?

Every single female client I have worked with who was actively seeking partnership had pictures or artwork of single women all over their home, without fail. Lots of images of single women, and what do they become? Exactly what they look at. The external world is a mirror, and what you choose to look at will draw that out of you. What we surround ourselves with speaks to us on a number of levels, regardless of whether we are aware of it or not.

Feng Shui is about your relationship with your environment, and that relationship always exists, even if you are not consciously engaged in it. This is why a Feng Shui consultant is able to enter your space and understand the story you've put on display, and then make suggestions about how to revamp the script you've presented.

You can start taking charge by deciding what best suits what you wish to create. If it's wealth, you don't need pictures of money necessarily - show off your favourites and collections. If you are looking for love and partnership, pictures of loving couples will do the trick - if you're careful of the symbology. One friend had placed a painting of a man holding his dead wife in his bedroom...and his love life certainly was dead! While he thought it showed devotion, it was demonstrating a relationship that would never be fulfilled.

You want to go home and have everything make you say "Yes!". Live with what you love, so you reflect your best, and draw your best out from your core - everyone around you will notice the difference too.
